Dr. Peter Killcommons - Medweb CEO and Founder

Based in San Francisco, Dr. Peter Killcommons is the chief executive officer of Medweb, a medical software and device company he founded in 1992. His achievements at Medweb include inventing web-based radiology viewers. Dr. Peter Killcommons oversees all operations at Medweb, including the radiology, telemedicine, and disaster response divisions.

Dr. Pete Killcommons balances his leadership activities at Medweb with extensive community service. He is a volunteer pilot during disaster response efforts coordinated by the National Institute of Urban Search and Rescue, and has provided medical aid to Afghanistan, Haiti, Honduras, and other countries. He is an active member of the Fisher House Foundation and the American Red Cross, in addition to professional organizations such as the American Telemedicine Association, the American Medical Association, and the International Virtual Electronic Hospital Foundation.

Dr. Pete Killcommons earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. As an undergraduate, he graduated cum laude with honors from the City College of New York’s Sophie Davis Accelerated BS-MD program. His professional interests include methods of securing medical data and related informatics.
